As a consequence, Acta Geophysica will no longer be an open access journal but it will be one of the Springer Platform journals. Although the publication of articles in Acta Geophysica will still be free of charge, the access to them will be limited to Springer Platform subscribers. As an option Springer enables all authors so called Open Choice program that allows an open access publication of articles. This option is free of charge for researchers in many European countries.
