From 1st January 2017 the formula of Acta Geophysica will be changed. It will be published in cooperation with Springer Company. As a consequence, Acta Geophysica will no longer be an open access journal but it will be one of the Springer Platform journals. Although the publication of articles in Acta Geophysica will still be free of charge, the access to them will be limited to Springer Platform subscribers. As an option Springer enables all authors so called Open Choice program that allows an open access publication of articles. This option is free of charge for researchers in many European countries.

Acta Geophysica, formerly Acta Geophysica Polonica, is an international journal dealing with all fields of general and applied geophysics. This broad scope is divided into the following five groups: solid Earth sciences, hydrology, atmospheric sciences, space sciences and applied geophysics.
